Review: Salvation

Salvation
Salvation by Weston Kincade

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Book Info: Genre: Dark Urban Fantasy/Adventure
Reading Level: Adult (while Madelin is, I think, about 16, this is not a YA book, it is very adult)
Recommended for: Fans of the first book
Trigger Warnings: violence, murder attempts, fighting, killing

My Thoughts: I enjoyed this sequel to Invisible Dawn quite a lot. Madelin's talents and abilities continue to grow, and each of her companions learns more about their own talents and abilities, and how they can help her in her quest to destroy PASTOR and stop them from trying to take over multiple realities in their quest for power.

The idea behind Altered Realities is fascinating to me. It is basically the multiverse idea, the idea that every time a major decision is made that can alter the course of a reality, a new reality is split apart in which the opposite decision is made. I actually dreamed about being able to travel through these multiverses just a couple days ago, which was really neat. Anyway, if you're interested in a really unique dark fantasy/adventure, be sure to check out the Altered Realities series. It's pretty neat.

Series Information: Altered Realities series
Book 1: Invisible Dawn, review linked here
Book 2: Salvation

Disclosure: I received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

Synopsis: After surviving against a trained shifter and an army of vampires, Madelin Boatweit and her friends seek shelter on a world where El Paso, Texas, is in ruins. Its skyscrapers are skeletons of their former selves. However, Leodenin’s newfound people will soon be on the hunt once more. They must reunite, find a home, and mount an attack on PASTOR to save hundreds of innocent children held captive.
